FITT awarded by The Home Depot for innovation: a recognition that celebrates five years of collaboration and a shared future-oriented vision

The collaboration between FITT and The Home Depot, the U.S. “do-it-yourself” giant, began in 2020 with an ambitious goal: bringing to the United States products that stand out for innovation, quality, and sustainability.

The first step was the launch of the FITT Force platform: flat, compact, and lightweight garden hoses made of TPV – an innovative thermoplastic rubber material, alternative to PVC, which makes the hose flexible, resistant, and durable – reducing CO2e emissions by 43% compared to a FITT NTS hose, and easily repairable thanks to removable fittings.

The innovation journey continued with the development of a range of traditional round garden hoses, even more flexible and easy to handle, designed to offer a better user experience.

This shared evolution led The Home Depot to award FITT in the Innovation category, recognizing the value of a path built together over the past five years.

For FITT, this award represents both an arrival point and a starting point toward new shared challenges. Innovation is not only expressed through the choice of alternative materials or high-performance products, but is grounded in a broader ecosystem that includes quality, service, and delivery reliability—elements further strengthened today by the new Headquarters in Anderson, Indiana.

The Home Depot’s annual ceremony holds special significance for FITT: it is the first time that an irrigation hose manufacturer has been recognized. A milestone that makes FITT proud to bring new authority and attractiveness to a sector often perceived as static.

A recognition that rewards not only the ability to innovate, but also long-term vision and the commitment to building strong, sustainable partnerships.
