FITT Rolldrain

HDPE corrugated pipe for soil drainage

Rolldrain is a double wall corrugated HDPE slotted drainage pipe, green on the outside and black on the inside, designed for agricultural and civil engineering drainage applications. Rolldrain, containing 75% recycled content, is certified as "Plastica Seconda Vita – Plastic Second Life" and complies with CAM Strade (Minimum Environmental Criteria for road infrastructures, Italian Ministerial Decree 279/2024).

Crushing resistance

Crushing resistance is fundamental, since the buried pipe is subjected to the static load of the covering soil and further stress due to the action to which the soil itself is subjected.

Shock resistance is important to prevent damage to the pipe that can occur during the laying operations.

Minimum bending radius: 15 times the outer diameter.

Annular stiffness class determined according to the UNI EN ISO 9969:SN4 standard (equal to 4KN/m2).

75% recycled content. Certification issued by Kiwa Cermet Italy, complying with the UNI 10667 industry technical standards and the requirements of UNI EN ISO 14021.

Features

Pastica Seconda Vita (Plastic Second Life) certification

The Rolldrain double-wall corrugated HDPE pipe has obtained the “Plastica Seconda Vita” (Plastic Second Life) certification by the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics.

Plastica Seconda Vita” (Plastic Second Life) is a voluntary system of environmental product certification dedicated to products obtained from the valorisation of plastic waste from separate waste collection, and therefore from industrial waste. It’s the first Italian and European marking dedicated to recycled plastic, developed from the need to make products obtained from recycled plastics destined for Public Administrations, large-scale retail trade, as well as private citizens, easily identifiable and more visible.

The work to recognize the mark was carried out by Kiwa Cermet Italia SpA, partner of IPPR and accredited with Accredia, which makes this certification objective, accessible and impartial, in line with PolyCert Europe's standards (European technical platform for the harmonization of existing certification schemes related to the adoption of circular raw materials by polymeric material processors in Europe according to the best production standards).

The conformity certification issued by Kiwa Cermet Italia guarantees compliance with UNI 10667 technical industry standards, applying the concept of traceability and calculating the content according to UNI EN ISO 14021. In the case of Rolldrain, 75% recycled content is certified.

Compliance with CAM Strade (Italian Minimum Environmental Criteria for Roads)

The Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) are requirements established to reduce the environmental impact from the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure (known as CAM Strade).

Applying the CAM is not optional but mandatory, as established by Article 57, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree no. 36 of 31/03/2023, which confirms an obligation already stated in Article 34 of Legislative Decree no. 50 of 18/04/2016. According to the Italian Ministerial Decree no. 279 of 08/2024, Article 2.3.9, CAM Strade requires plastic pipes to contain at least 20% of recycled, recovered, or by-product materials.

Rolldrain contains 75% recycled plastic, as certified by Kiwa Cermet Italia SpA — a partner organization of IPPR — in compliance with UNI EN ISO 14021, and is thus certified as Second-Life Plastic (Plastica Seconda Vita - PSV).
Exceeding the CAM Strade minimum requirement by over three times, Rolldrain not only meets the mandatory criteria but also offers competitive advantages in public procurement by surpassing minimum environmental standards.
