The installation of a new 1,173 kWp photovoltaic system has recently been completed in the logistics area of the San Pietro in Gu facility, with over 2,700 panels installed.
The project, carried out with the technical support of Centrica Business Solutions, now Joulz Italia, required complex logistics: materials were transported at height by helicopter, optimizing installation operations.
This initiative marks the latest step in a broader plan that has also involved the sites in Sandrigo and Fiume Veneto, home to Claber. Altogether, the three systems now reach a total installed nominal capacity of 2,623 kWp, entirely built using European modules—confirming FITT’s commitment to quality, reliability, and responsible supply chains.
The expected annual production amounts to 2,968,856 kWh of renewable energy, intended for self-consumption across the production sites. This will make it possible to avoid approximately 730 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year and generate estimated annual savings of around €500,000, contributing concretely to reducing environmental impact and achieving the sustainability goals set out in FITT’s strategic plan.
This journey is part of the “The Responsible Flow 2030” strategy, through which FITT translates ESG objectives into measurable actions.
As Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT Group S.p.A., states:
“Sustainability is not a destination, but a flow. It is an evolving journey, shaped and enriched every day by new experiences, insights, challenges, and relationships. We have built a new vision of a company that wants to make a difference—and chooses to do so not only through its products, but through its impact on the present and the future.”
A commitment that translates into concrete choices and long-term investments, taking a further step towards climate neutrality and reinforcing FITT’s role as a responsible company.
