FITT inaugurates its new Anderson Headquarters, the Group’s first site in the United States

With the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, FITT inaugurated its new Headquarters in Anderson, Indiana: the Group’s first site in the United States and the fifteenth worldwide. The plant will also develop tailor-made productions for the American market, which the Group considers a strategic growth area rather than a simple export destination.

Launched in 2023, the project redeveloped a 120,000 sqm industrial area (former General Motors) through major regeneration work, without any additional land consumption. This choice, in line with the Group’s ESG strategy, was recognized last August with the Racers Trust Award during the National Brownfields Training Conference.

The total investment exceeded 30 million USD and the business plan timelines were fully met: the plant began operating at the end of 2024 with two production lines, followed by two more in 2025. By 2027, five lines will be operational with around 90 employees, and expansion work is already planned to double the logistics area.

The project’s progress was marked by key milestones: from the official start of construction in October 2023, to the testing of production lines in Europe in June 2024, followed by shipment and installation in the US; from technical extrusion training in December 2024 – delivered with the support of French partner Polyvia – to the first customer visits in 2025, showcasing the new facility’s potential and expertise.

FITT’s innovative products have been present in the United States since 2020, particularly in the garden and home irrigation sectors. In 2024, revenues exceeded 37 million USD, with a target of over 47 million USD in 2025. Distribution covers the country’s leading DIY chains – The Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe’s, Menards, Ace, Do It Best, True Value – as well as e-commerce through Amazon US.

“We carefully prepared our entry into the US market,” said Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT Group. “We started back in 2017, studying this market, its dynamics, the needs of end users, competitors, and potential, building this project step by step. Today’s ribbon-cutting represents the realization of a long-term strategic vision and a personal dream that took shape over time. A vision born from the awareness that the American garden market is the largest in the world – not just a commercial opportunity but an area deserving of direct, continuous, and structured presence. With a Headquarters overseas, we can now deliver the same level of service to US customers that FITT has been offering its European partners for over fifty years.”

“FITT’s decision to establish its US Headquarters in Anderson is both a strategic advantage and a win for the community,” added Dave Eglinton, President of FITT USA INC. “By operating here, FITT is closer to its American customers, strengthening its ability to innovate and grow in the world’s largest gardening market. At the same time, this investment breathes new life into a historic site, creating quality jobs and new opportunities for the community.”

Being fully operational in the United States today represents a competitive advantage for FITT, consistent with its mission to combine international growth, responsible innovation, and customer proximity.
