FITT has obtained the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification, a recognition that confirms the Group’s concrete commitment to promoting equity and inclusion at all levels of the organization.
The certification is based on specific performance indicators that measure corporate culture, governance, human resources management policies, work-life balance, prevention of discrimination, and growth opportunities.
For FITT, this is not a formal achievement, but a path that has actively involved all corporate functions and has become an integral part of the management system and the identity of a Benefit Corporation and certified B Corp.
The certification is part of FITT’s broader sustainability strategy, within the Social area dedicated to employee well-being: the path began in March 2024, when FITT decided to adhere to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact, inspired by international labor and human rights standards. With this first step, FITT committed to supporting the shared values of gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, in the market, and in the community.
Many initiatives were implemented to pass the certification audit, starting with training for all employees, at all levels and across all sites: in 2025 alone, 5,600 hours of practical workshops are planned on harassment, stereotypes, bias, and the responsible use of language. On the parenthood front, FITT chose to integrate an additional 30% of salary during parental leave, beyond what is provided by law. To promote work-life balance, since 2021 the company has had a smart working policy allowing employees to work remotely up to three days a week.
“This journey was made possible thanks to the cross-functional commitment of all departments, which contributed with responsibility and a shared vision. Undertaking the certification process was much more than a formal requirement. It gave us the opportunity to measure ourselves against high standards, to strengthen the mapping of skills and processes, to consolidate tools, to develop inclusive language, and to generate value for all FITT People. The preliminary activities allowed us to achieve the maximum score in three areas – gender pay equity, HR processes, and culture and strategy. At the same time, we identified ample room for improvement in growth opportunities and women’s inclusion in the company: one of the goals of the certification was precisely this, to understand where we stand today and to focus on where we want to be in the years ahead.”
Sara Trentin, HR Director of FITT
Gender equality, in addition to being a fundamental right, is also a factor of collective growth: it improves the working environment, increases productivity, reduces turnover, and attracts and retains new talent. For FITT, it is therefore a strategic element and an investment in the future.
“This certification is not only about women, but about all people. It demonstrates that an inclusive, fair, and diversity-respecting organization is capable of generating sustainable value for those who work with us, for our stakeholders, and for society. Our commitment does not stop here: we will continue to build an environment based on respect, trust, and equal opportunities.”
Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT
With this certification, FITT confirms its determination to go beyond the recognition itself, integrating gender equality and the enhancement of diversity as guiding principles and strategic values of its corporate culture.
